Once you apply, a date will be set for you to speak with an IDES investigator.
That investigator will also contact your former employer.   The IDES investigator
may ask to speak with you twice to clarify issues that your employer brought up.

The IDES investigator then makes a determination about your benefits.   You
will be notified if you have been approved for unemployment benefits or if
your former employer is protesting you getting these benefits.

If you are denied benefits, or if your former employer opposes you getting these
benefits you will be given an opportunity to APPEAL.  The Appeal to IDES is the
most important part of getting unemployment benefits once they are denied.  We
can assist you in getting your benefits by representing you at this Appeal.
We
have a high success rate in winning IDES Appeals!!

If you have been let go from your job, you may qualify for unemployment benefits
from the State of Illinois.   The office of the Illinois Department of Employment
Security (IDES) distributes these benefits.

To qualify for these benefits you will need to meet certain requirements such as
length of employment, an employer subject to payroll taxes, and being
unemployed through no fault of your own.

To determine if you qualify, apply for Unemployment Benefits online --
